This kid can act!
by far the best part of the movie was Athena.
I expect great things from Raffey Cassidy just like i did from Elle Fanning from her performance in Super 8.
I can see Clooney at home and he gets this script handed to him and just like myself he starts to realize the potential.
This was a great ride, pardon the pun.
I did not realize until they go to Paris that this is all taking place in the now.
The story does jump around in time, but the bulk of the movie takes place today, or at least what is today in the movie.I have never been to the houses of mouses so I have no familiarity with Tomorrowland.
I am familiar with Its a Small World. There is a big nod to Disney early in the film.Clooney’s scenes with Raffey are fantastic, I would dare say she almost steals his scenes from him.
I came into this movie expecting a time travel film.
This is not a time travel film at all. What it is, is a thought provoking film. No whiz bang explosions, no great spectacles, it taps into your emotions and does not let your brain rest. Every moment you slide on into another scene and keep wondering where the characters will lead you next. There was a bit of confusion as to exactly when we are. I do mean when. When and where are mixed to my delight. I like it when movies fool me into thinking one way when what is happening isn’t anywhere near my suppositions.
I skipped the 3D. I think 3D would actually drag this movie down. I can see two scenes for certain that may have been cooler in 3D but for the most part, you can skip the 3D.
I walked out of the theater today, satisfied with my choice to see this film even though my expectations were not high.
Actually I think I am going to hunt for a pin…will you find one in your tool box?
